Japanese students visit and stay at Indian Hansen Disease colonies for several weeks twice a year, and conduct mainly infrastructure maintenance work.
For people in Indian Hansen Disease colonies, we are doing independence support activities by employment training business such as mushroom cultivation and accessory production.
We hold Hansen Disease course and workshop to visit Hansen Disease sanatorium in Japan to convey correct knowledge and history of Hansen Disease in India and Japan.
People in leprosy colonies have severe food-shortage problem as they have lost most of the income due to the pandemic. We provide 1-week food package to them especially in need.
